This short video, filmed in the beautiful aUM Yoga of Ann Arbor, is a series of postures meant to open the hips, work the back, and gently twist out the torso. Ahimsa is a Sanskrit word meaning 'non-violence'. It is the first tenet of the Yamas on the 8 Limbed Path of Yoga. Ahimsa is non-violence in word, thought, action, and deed as it relates to ourselves and others. Always bring ahimsa with you to your mat and into the world. Kindness begets kindness and it must come from within.

In every Vinyasa class you'll hear the words, "Chaturanga Dandasana" over and over again. Common Qs: "What is it? Do I plop onto the floor? How do I modify? How do I get stronger? What's going on here?!" This quick tutorial teaches you how to keep those elbows from flaring out in order to keep your shoulders safe.
